Ernest William Buckmaster, 1897-1968, Australia.

Ernest Buckmaster was born in Auburn, Victoria and studied at the National Gallery of Victoria School from 1918 until 1924 under Bernard Hall and W. B. McInnes. He won the Archibald Prize in 1932. He is represented in all state galleries and at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
