Charles William Bush, 1919-89, Australia.

Born in Melbourne. Studied at the National Gallery School from 1934 to 1939. Won the Grace Joel Prize in 1940. Appointed Official War Artist 2nd World War. Won the Crouch Prize six times, the Wynne Prize twice; awarded numerous other Gallery Prizes and the British Council Grant in 1949. Represented in principal Australian Galleries.
