Colin Colahan, 1897-1987, Australia.

A student of the Max Meldrum School, 1916-19, Cohn's early tonal portraits and landscapes show him as one of Meldrum's gifted pupils. He lived in England and Europe from circa 1920 and worked as an official war artist with the Australian forces in England in 1942. He exhibited at the Paris Salon, R. A. and with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and Society of British Artists Reference: A. & S. McCulloch, The Encyclopedia of Australian Art, Allen & Unwin, 1994, p. 169.
