Born in Hobart in 1947, Geoff Dyer is a landscape painter and teacher. He studied at Hobart's School of Art, and later in Europe, the UK and USA. Dyer taught art until 1980 when he took up painting full time. His first exhibition was in Launceston in 1970, and he has since exhibited in Hobart, Sydney and Melbourne.
