Born on Melville Island about 1928, Australian Aboriginal artist Kitty Kantilla is the best known of the Tiwi Islands painters. Her work has been widely exhibited throughout Australia and is represented in most state and many provincial and overseas collections.

We have records of art auction sales by Kitty Kantilla from 1998 and in total 194 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 131 (68%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $67,475 for Untitled Traditional Designs 2001 sold by Sotheby's in July 2003. This year 4 works have been offered for sale.
