Born in Chertsey, England in 1958, Tim Maguire arrived in Australia as an infant. He studied in Sydney and in Germany and received his postgraduate degree at the Sydney College of Arts in Australia in 1984. He has exhibited his paintings in Sydney, Melbourne and overseas, and has won several awards. Maguire's work is represented in the National Gallery of Australia, and in the Victorian and New South Wales state collections.
