Born in Melbourne in 1940 Angela Abbott paints genre subjects in oil, acrylic and watercolour. She studied at the National Gallery School, Melbourne in the early 1960s and with Shirley Bourne at the Victorian Artists Society where she later taught. Abbott was awarded the Alice Bale Art Travelling Scholarship to the UK in 1983. She exhibits in Melbourne, her first one woman show being in 1974.
