A painter, portraitist and fashion designer, Jill Del'Mace was born in the UK in 1947. The family moved to New Zealand in 1964 where Del'Mace went into the fashion business. In 1975 she moved to San Francisco for two years, deciding while there to become a full time painter. She exhibited in New Zealand and Australia, and eventually settled in Melbourne where she continues to exhibit.
