Born in Melbourne in 1960, Stephen Eastaugh studied at the Victorian College of the Arts, in Norway and has been on several study trips overseas. A painter who works with mixed media, he held his first solo exhibition in Melbourne in 1987. Eastaugh teaches at secondary school level.
