Offered and Sold for each category represent respectively
the number of works in that category offered for sale by auction, and
sold by auction for the periods covered.
The Average
Price is the arithmetic mean of the realised prices for the works
in that category over the above period.
The table showing
the Price Range breaks the works sold for each category into
value bands, starting from Under $1,000 to Over $500,000, and enables
the reader to gain a quick overview of the general price area into which
the works are normally sold. This table is included only if the- number
of works sold in the particular category is four or more.
