A painter and art teacher, Ken Buckland was born in England in 1921. He studied at the Harrow and Ealing Schools of Art before arriving in Australia in 1961. Known principally as a texture painter, he held his first one-man exhibition in Sydney in 1968 and exhibited mainly around the North Shore.
