Born in Germany in 1949, Silvio Apponyi arrived in Australia in 1951 and studied at the South Australian School of Arts and in Munich. A sculptor, he has exhibited since 1973 in South Australia, New South Wales and Canberra.

We have records of art auction sales by Silvio Apponyi from 1991 and in total 18 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 16 (89%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $7,245 for 'Squid and Prey' sold by Elder Fine Art in May 2015.
