Originator of the Ginger Meggs character which first appeared in the comic strip 'Us Fellers' in the Sydney Sun Colour Section in 1921, the title was changed to 'Ginger Meggs' in 1925 and syndicated all over the world. Bancks continued to draw him until his death in 1953.
