About Clarrie Cox
Born in Sydney in 1927, Clarrie Cox. He studied at East Sydney Technical College in 1954 and 1955 and worked as an advertising display artist, operating his own business until 1973. In his 40s he took up oil painting and began painting the historic buildings from the early days of European settlement in Australia. He exhibited in Sydney from 1973 and held 12 solo shows. published Historic Towns of Australia in 1984 and Australia in 1985.
