About Michael Hight
Michael Hight was born Stratford, New Zealand in 1961. He gained a Bachelor of Social Sciences, University of Waikato in 1982 and from 1984-87 he lived and painted in London before returning to live in Auckland. He has regularly exhibited since 1984 and has been a full time artist since 2001. He has received several QEII grants and his work is held in many New Zealand collections.
The total number of works by Michael Hight offered for sale by auction since 1996 is 142, of which 103 (73%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $40,993 for Parihaka Road sold by International Art Centre in November 2020. This year one work has been offered for sale.
