Born in Victoria in 1906, Annois studied at the Melbourne National Gallery School. Best known for his watercolours and murals, he received over a dozen major art awards.

The total number of works by Len Annois offered for sale by auction since 1969 is 293, of which 211 (72%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $7,700 for Nude with Piano sold by Sotheby's in July 1988. This year one work has been offered for sale.
