Born at Greenvale Station, W A about 1937 Lena Nyadbi is a member of the Warmum art centre. She started painting in the mid 1990s and uses ochres to achieve deep brown and black colours to contrast with lighter tones. She has exhibited in solo and group shows in Melbourne, Broome and Adelaide and was one of eight Aboriginal artists to receive a commision during the building of the Musee du Quai Branly in Paris in 2006.
