About Milan Todd
Born in Yugoslavia in 1922, Todd studied studied in Paris under Marc Chagall from 1945 to 1948 and studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Belgrade from 1948 to 1949, arriving in Melbourne in 1950. He held his first solo exhibition in 1968, followed by exhibitions in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne, and internationally in Yugoslavia and the USA. He is known for his colourful and exotic naive style paintings of birds and the environment,
