Born in Queensland in 1960 Graham Gercken is a self taught impressionist landscape artist painting in oils. He has lived in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Cottles Bridge in outer Melbourne where he spent time at the The Dunmoochin Foundation, a residency program for emerging artists, the Central Coast of New South Wales and Lithgow, NSW, all of which have provided inspiration for his work. He lived in China for 4 years, where he learnt the techniques of ink wash painting. He has exhibited in Sydney and sells though his online gallery. He has won a number of prizes at regional art shows.
