Born in Yugoslavia in 1952, Joseph Zbukvic arrived in Australia in 1970 after studying literature and languages in Zagreb. In Geelong, he studied art at the Gordon Institute of Technology (now Deakin University), and first exhibited his watercolour landscapes and wild-life pastels in Melbourne in 1977.

We have records of art auction sales by Joseph Zbukvic from 1989 and in total 237 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 146 (62%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $6,270 for Damian Oliver on Fresh Boy sold by Elder Fine Art in May 2006. This year one work has been offered for sale.
