Rod Bax was born in Adelaide in 1948 and studied at the South Australian School of Art, East Sydney Technical College and Torrens CAE. He is a Fellow of The Royal South Australian Society of Arts and was a director of the Southern School of Art . He has taught at secondary level in Adelaide at St Peter’s College and Westminster School. He is best know for his gouache and watercolours of the wildlife and landscapes of the wetland areas of the State’s southeast. He has held numerous solo shows throughout regional South Australia.
