Born in Turkey in 1951, Jenny Orchard arrived in Australia in 1975. Principally a self-taught artist, she studied at the City Art Institute Sydney and has been creating ceramics, sculpture and art since 1980. She has exhibited widely throughout eastern Australia and in Germany, Japan, Italy, USA and Britain. In 1985 she created a 70ft long ceramic mural for Darling Harbour, Sydney and in 1986 created 8 ceramic murals for Sheraton International Hotel, Arlington, Virginia, USA.
