Born in Spain in 1934, Marmol studied in at the School of Arts & Crafts, the Royal Academy of Ceramics and the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. He travelled to Italy, Portugal and the US before arriving in Australia in 1962. He was an abstract painter and exhibited widely in the eastern states. He returned to live in Spain and died in 1994.
