Born in Melbourne in 1926, Vernon Morcom studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology where he won prizes for his work. In 1952 he travelled to Europe and worked as artist with the 'News Chronicle' in London for a year. Morcom exhibited with the Melbourne Contemporary Artists and Melbourne Graphic artists.
