Born in Brisbane, Anne Wallace studied at Queensland University of Technology and in 1990 she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts). A painter of super-realist style she has frequently exhibited in both solo and group shows. She won the Samstag Scholarship in 1993, the Melville Nettleship Award, Slade School of Fine Art, London in 1995 where she a completed Masters Degree, and the Sulman Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1999. She has exhibited regularly in Sydney and Melbourne since 1993.
