Born in England in 1917, Paul Beadle studied in England and Europe prior to his arrival in Australia in 1944, where he became known as a sculptor and teacher. After several years teaching in Australia, he moved to New Zealand in 1961 to become Professor of Fine Arts at Auckland University. He has exhibited in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.
