Born in Sydney in 1909, Janna Bruce was known mainly as a watercolourist and teacher. She travelled widely, living in China for three years and studying in London, Paris and under Dattilo Rubbo in Sydney. She was an exhibiting member of the Australian Watercolour Institute.
