Born in Wellington in 1949, Alison Eagle studied at the University of Canterbury and Auckland Teachers College. Her last name was Mitchell, which she changed to Eagle. Her first exhibition was a joint show which she organised with three other artists in 1975. A teacher, painter and installation artist, her works are represented in several public collections.
