Born in New Zealand of maori descent, in 1965, Peter Robinson studied at University of Canterbury and Christchurch College of Education. After completinghis studies, he was included in a number of international exhibitions including the Asia Pacific Triennial, the São Paulo Art Biennial, the Biennale of Sydney and the Lyon Biennale (2000). Peter Robinosn Robinson was New Zealand's co-representatives at the Venice Biennale in 2001. A painter, printmaker and sculptor, his work often depicts themes based on his Maori heritage.
