Robert Murray (b. 1807) was a shipbuilder and captain of the ship Corsair, trading in furs and seal skins along the western coast of the Americas. He is said to have been in the South Pacific around the time of the Maori Wars in New Zealand. He painted seascapes and landscapes in watercolour.
