Born in Hungary in 1946, Eva Molnar arrived in Australia at the age of 11. She studied extensively in Sydney, becoming a contemporary figurative painter in pastel, acrylic and fabric as well as working in photography, video and performance art. She held her first solo show in Sydney in 1980, and has held and participated in numerous shows since in Hungary, Germany, Italy, Mexico Turkey, Austria and the USA. In 2016 she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Liberal Arts (DLA) from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest.
