About Edmund Arthur Harvey
Harvey studied under Julian Ashton and at the East Sydney Technical College in the 1920's before continuing his studies overseas. On his return in 1927 he became assistant to George Lambert and later a teacher at the East Sydney Technical College. He exhibited with the Society of Artists over a long period.
We have records of art auction sales by Edmund Harvey from 1972 and in total 122 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 64 (52%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $21,600 for Sinn Fein sold by Deutscher and Hackett in April 2009.
