Born in Auckland in 1948, Russell Hollings is a still life and landscape painter based in New Zealand. He is mainly self taught, although he received some tuition in still life painting in a class tutored by the late Ida Eise, OBE held at the Auckland Society of Arts in the 1970s. From the late 1960s, Hollings held solo shows within New Zealand and from the 1990s began exhibiting in Australia and London.
