Born in South Australia in 1929, Thomas Offord studied at the South Australian School of Arts and Crafts. He became art master at a Broken Hill school, and much of his work reflects his involvement with the Broken Hill area. Offord is a traditional landscape painter whose work tends to show the influence of Sir Hans Heysen. He has held numerous successful one-man exhibitions in the eastern states.

The total number of works by Tom Offord offered for sale by auction since 1974 is 16, of which 9 (56%) were sold. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
