Born in 1942, Pauline Thompson studied at Elam School of Fine Arts in the early 1960s. Her works were of mythological character, and later the painted the historical and political history of the Norfolk and Pircairn Islands which she visited at regular intervals.
The total number of works by Pauline Thompson offered for sale by auction since 1989 is 104, of which 71 (68%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,489 for Christian Mauatua and Bligh Dream They Are at Fontainebleau sold by Webb's in August 2007. This year one work has been offered for sale.
