An Australian Aboriginal watercolourist from the Arunta Tribe, Ivan Pannka was born at Hermannsburg, near Alice Springs in 1943. Inspired by the work of his uncle, Albert Namatjira.his paintings capture the vivid, changing colours of the MacDonnell Ranges and the beauty of Australia’s central desert landscape. He paints central Australian landscapes in the manner of other members of the Hermannsburg school.

We have records of art auction sales by Ivan Pannka from 1976 and in total 233 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 170 (73%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,390 for Untitled, Central Australia sold by Mossgreen Auctions in August 2009. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023.
