About Jason Greig
New Zealand artist Jason Greig was born in 1963 in Timaru. He studied printmaking from 1982-1985 at the Canterbury School of Fine Arts, and was awarded an honours degree in engraving. He was visiting lecturer in printmaking, Canterbury School of Fine Arts from 1993-1998 and also tutored at Otago Polytechnic, Oamaru and the Aoraki Polytechnic, Timaru. Creating lithographs, monoprints, drawings, paintings and etchings, his first solo exhibition was in 1995 in 1995 in Christchurch and since then has exhibited in around 25 solo shows and 18 group shows throughout New Zealand and in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. In 2006 the Christchurch Art Gallery hosted a survey exhibition of his work which showcased the artist’s work over a thirteen year period.
