Lesley Redgate was born in London in 1955, and moved to Australia in 1967 settling in South Australia. She attended the SA School of Art 1972 -1976 where she began her career as artist and educator. As the winner of the Thomas Laird Memorial Traveling Art Study Award she travelled overseas travel in 1994 and 1997. In 2000-2002 she studied for an Advanced Diploma of Visual Communication & Graphic Design, at TAFE SA. She practices as a Visual Artist and teaches from her studio in Willunga SA. Collections: National Gallery of Victoria, Hardy’s Winery London, Mt Lofty House, City of Onkaparinga.'
