Born in Scotland in 1952, Douglas Kirsop graduated from the Hornsey Art School, (later called Middlesex Polytechnic), London, in 1976 with a BA Hons in Fine Art and in the same year he was awarded a French Scholarship to Les Beaux Arts in Aix en Provence. After travelling and working in Europe for several years, he arrived in Western Australia in 1982 living firstly in Perth and then in Yallingup, 256 km south of Perth in 1991. He exhibits in Yallingup and Perth.
