Born in Ravensthorpe, Western Australia in 1903, Audrey Greenhalgh studied in Perth. She was a life member and past Vice-president of the Perth Society of Artists, a member of the (all-female) Studio Club from 1946, and a Foundation Member of the Royal Agricultural Society Art Purchase Prize. She painted mainly semi-realistic seascapes and landscapes and exhibited in Western Australia from the 1950 to the 1980s. She died in 1991 and a restrospective of her work was shown in Ariel's Song: Audrey Greenhalgh 1903 - 1991 at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery at the University of Western Australia in 1994.
