About Henry Mount Langton Atcherley
A New Zealand soldier in the 1860s, Henry Atcherley later took up watercolour painting. From 1877 he exhibited throughout New Zealand, and is believed to have travelled to Australia. His paintings were usually of Maori subjects, but sometimes of military operations.
