Born 1924 in Latvia and arrived in Australia in 1948, Ojars Bisenieks studied in Melbourne, and exhibited in twenty-one one-man shows between 1956 and 1978. He was a member of the Blue Brush group actiiive 1953 - 1963), an association of Latvian artists living in Australia.
