A New Zealand artist born in 1891, Minnie White attended the University of Auckland Elam School of Art c1911 and studied under Edward Fristrom who was promoting 'plein air' landscape painting. As well as painting landscapes she created linocuts, craft objects and created textime designs. She exhibited with the Auckland Society of Arts, the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts from 1926 and the Otago Art Society. She worked in New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
