About Rene Raimonde
A colonial artist, originally from France, Rene Raimonde was working in Tasmania in the 1880's. He painted Tasmanian landscapes and buildings. His work was included in the touring exhibition by the Art Gallery of South Australia The Art of Gardening in Colonial Australia
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1974.
