Leon Ockleford is a British born New Zealand artist most commercially active during the 1980s in New Zealand. Leon moved to Australia in the 1990s, and following a severe head injury ceased to paint commercially . However, following his accident, Leon continued to use his love of colour as a rehabilitative tool, and continues to produce smaller abstract works using the natural world and light of Australia as his inspiration.
