About Geoffrey E. (Geoff) Ryan
Geoff Ryan was born 1944 at Bankstown. He commenced painting as an amateur in 1968. In 1975 he moved to Leith, Tasmania to paint full time. He concentrated on Tasmanian bush (wilderness) scenes using oil on board. In 1979 he moved to the Kimberley region of WA then lived in various locations in the Top End, before moving to Canberra and then Yamba NSW where he continues painting and wood carving.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1988.
