Alise Mary Parsons born in England in 1836 and arrived in Australia c1845. She was a member of and regular exhibitor at the Arts and Crafts Society from the 1916 to 1930's. She studied at the Julian Ashton Art School and belonged to the Society of Women Painters. Alise Parsons is known for her pokerwork and brushwork on wood and fabrics. Her pokerwork is represented in the Art Gallery of NSW.
