About Robin Hill
Born in Brisbane in 1932, and moved to England with his family the following year. Hill studied at Wimbledon School of Art from 1945 to 1947, and returned to Australia in 1948, where he studied at the National Gallery School, Melbourne and at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He worked with the ABC in the 1960s and was a pioneer in creating wildlife documentaries, at the same time creating his own paintings. He moved to the United States in 1971 and has held solo exhibitions and accepted comissions. He illustrated six books on Australian and American wildlife between 1960 and 1987.
