Born in Brisbane in 1955, Ralph Wilson studied architecture in Brisbane. A self taught realist painter he has been a professional artist and held his first one man show in Brisbane in 1976. In 1983 he was awarded the Camberwell Rotary Travelling Scholarship and he travelled to London, Paris and New York, followed by working in Italy in both 1986 and 1990, and has since exhibited in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The total number of works by Ralph Wilson offered for sale by auction since 1993 is 33, of which 27 (82%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $3,416 for Verandah 1983 sold by Mossgreen Auctions in July 2015. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
