Born in Perth in 1959, Timothy Ralph studied at Meadowbank Technical College in Sydney in 1978-79, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1982, and overseas. A painter and printmaker, his first solo exhibition was in Melbourne in 1988, and at time he was working at the Australian Print Workshop in Fitzroy, Melbourne.
